Birmingham School of Art and Eastside Projects are working in collaboration to provide new opportunities to up-and-coming creatives within Birmingham. Applications are now open for their Fine Art Fellowship.

The Wheatley  Fine Art Fellowship is a  Nine-month residency culminating in a  public piece. This may take the shape of a collection of artwork, an events programme, a performance piece or digital work. The successful applicant will also be expected to engage with students at the school during their Fellowship. Previous Fellows include Joey Holder, Harun Morrison, Sofia Niazi, Bridget O’Gorman, John Wood, Paul Harrison, and Kathrin Böhm.

The artist must commit at least 40 days to the programme and will be supported by a £10,000 grant, an additional £10,000 production budget, and access to workspace at both the Institute for Art and Eastside projects.
