Museums have for a long time not been seen as the domain of children. Kids in Museums have made it their mission to change this. Since their  founding  in 2003, they  have led significant change in the sector, with family friendliness and the active involvement of young people central to their work.

The organisation is currently recruiting  for a talented young individual to join their Board of Trustees. The position is open to anyone between the ages of 16-25. The successful applicant will  help increase the impact of their current programmes, support new work, work closely with our Youth Panel (16-25s) and ensure the effective governance of the charity. Free training and ongoing support for  the new Young Trustees will be provided. The costs of travel, accommodation and any other expenses required to attend meetings will also be covered.
