Co-founded in 2008, UpRising was set up in the face of the last economic shock to address systemic underrepresentation in leadership positions.

Off the back of its successful programme, Our Bright Futures, the organisation is launching its brand new Environmental Leadership Programme. In collaboration with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and funded by National Lottery Fund, the programme aims to help young people take charge in the fight against climate change.

The free programme is available to 16-25  within the West Midlands area. Successful applicants will gain access to a hybrid programme of online sessions and in-person days with the whole cohort, structured and designed to build their connection to nature, leadership, confidence and knowledge of their local environment.
