Black Minds Matter UK is a fully registered charity connecting Black individuals and families with free therapy by qualified and accredited Black therapists.

Later this month they will be running their first youth – focused mental health event. The event is targeted at 17-24 yr olds i the uk and aims to encourage early intervention in accessing mental health support specifically through the lens of intersectionaliity. The event will include:

• Mental health 1:1’s with a therapist

• Live guided mental check-in led by How Mental

• Panel talk discussions

• Breakout sessions

• Round table talks led by Black Minds Matter UK and Suicide and Co

• Free lunch!

• BMMUK goodie bags including Rare Beauty surprises and more!

Amira is currently the Regional Programme Manager at the Ernst & Young (EY) Foundation. With a BA in History and an MA in International Relations from the University of Birmingham, Amira brings a rich background in youth engagement and empowerment.

Her dedication shines through her work with funders like the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and her volunteer efforts with Chatham House, where she connects young people with key policymakers in international affairs.

Amira has also previously been a part of the programme We Don’t Settle emerged from, Don’t Settle, under Beatfreeks. She is deeply committed to creating safe spaces for young people to celebrate their lived experiences.
